Miracle on Chestnut

Our annual holiday celebration series brings warmth and joy to Southeast Newport News through family photo days, cookie decorating, the community Christmas Tree Lighting Festival, and our beloved “Caroling on Chestnut.” These events honor tradition, togetherness, and the spirit of the season.

Umi Circles

Small, powerful gatherings held in homes, churches, and neighborhood spaces. Umi Circles create space for storytelling, reflection, healing, and building kinship throughout the community.

Tea & Transformation Pop-Up Events

Youth-led tea experiences in partnership with Tea’s the Day. Enjoy culturally inspired tea service while supporting workforce development for young leaders learning hospitality, entrepreneurship, and event production.

Umi’s Place Pop-Up Installations

Preview the future of Umi’s physical home through interactive pop-ups featuring art, wellness activities, leadership workshops, and youth-centered programming—brought directly into the neighborhood.
